The common hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius) is one of only two species of hippopotamus, the other being the pygmy hippopotamus, is a native of sub-Saharan Africa. The name hippopotamus comes from the Greek word meaning ‘water horse’. Despite its almost comical appearance out of water, the hippopotamus is highly aggressive. Despite being semi-aquatic, the hippopotamus’ closest living relatives are the cetaceans (whales, porpoises, etc.).
Designed in house by Unique Bronze and hot cast in solid bronze, Together is strictly limited to only 750 pieces worldwide and has become a very popular set.
Together is individually numbered and signed by the artist and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity which is your guarantee that the piece is a genuine Unique Bronze casting approved by the sculptor.
